Elaine Mcginn
I was born in Belfast and I currently live and work on the North East coast of Ireland, where I have been active in areas of performance, community art and art education from 2004.
In my capacity as a performance artist and member of the Belfast performance organisation Bbeyond, I have formulated and collated subjective research over a period of 20 years.
I am a multidisciplinary artist and interested in socio-cultural systems and theoretical psychologies which are specific to trauma, loss and recovery.
Borne from live art action, my work is predominately driven by reflective, meditative practices that incorporate aspects of self-care within a daily workflow.
